The AVS team has been hard at work to bring you very exciting programs and activities in 2024, particularly the AVS Festival and Primrose International Viola Competition, which will be held June 19-22, 2024 , at the Colburn School in Los Angeles. We are so excited for you to join us to hear the amazing artistry of the PIVC competitors, and master classes and recitals by select members of the PIVC jury, which includes amazing artists such as Atar Arad, Cathay Basrak, Ensik Choi, Steven Dann, Tim Fredriksen, Ayane Kozasa, and Geraldine Walther. The AVS will be hosting three Youth Solo Competitions, the Ensemble Invitational, the Orchestral Audition Competition, and the Exhibition of Modern Violas and Bows, as well as more than 80 panels, presentations, lectures, recitals, and workshops. The week’s events culminate with the Primrose Competition final concerto round, which will be broadcast by Medici TV and the Violin Channel.
