Details : Version 1: Movement 1

Mvmt. I: 31 measures

Version 2 (Fassung 2003): Movements 1, 2, and 3

Mvmt. I: 36 measures (with an optional cut to shorten to 26 measures)

Mvmt. II: 26 measures (with an optional cut to shorten to 14 measures)

Mvmt. III (Eingänge zum Rondothema):

It is unclear as to the exact scope of the second lead-in; the music appears to include several previous measures (mm. 157–64) of the solo viola part to aid with placement of the cadenza. But these measures are substantially altered, particularly the notes in mm. 163–64. e notation and engraving for each of the cadenzas in this compilation varies signi cantly, and it is possible that all of the music is the lead-in at m. 165, with the composer intentionally incorporating ideas from the previous measures.

1. [m. 37]: 4 printed measures (roughly 2 measures of original “lead-in” material) 2. [m. 165]: 9 printed measures
