" I spent ten year restoring Ban6k' viola concerto from his origi nal manu cript. and this wa its debut. It wa al o the first concerto perfor mance for my Jo eph Curtin viola. Both were praised highly." C aba Erdelyi established his pre - ence in the music world with another first. In 1972 he became the only' iola player ever to win the pre tigious Carl Fie ch International Violin Competi tion. He went on to en e a principal of the Philharmonia Orche tra and \ iolist in the Chilingirian Quartet.
