d) The opening of the first act as described above which begins as the 1845 version (opening twenty-six bars) and then cuts directly (on the twenty-seventh bar) into the 1861 version. This is tided in some editions Der Venusberg (Tannhiiuser) or in the Durand edition "ACTE I lER TABLEAU SCENE 1-BACCHANALE," which is probably extracted from the complete opera Der Venusberg.
