Heidi Castleman is currently Professor ofViola at the juilliard School. She has taught at the Cleve land Imtitute ofMusic, Eastman School ofMusic, New England Conservatory, State University of New York at Purchase, and at Rice University. During summers, Castleman teaches andperforms at the Aspen Music Festival and School; in the past she has also taught at The Quartet Program, the Sarasota, Eastern and Blossom Festivals, and the Banff Centre. A founding trustee of Chamber Music America, she served as its President from 1983 to 1987.
